Manchester United Transfers: It hasn’t been the best of seasons for Tottenham Hotspur. They didn’t click under the tutelage of Antonio Conte, even though his arrival was welcomed with open arms. Fans and pundits alike thought he would bring about a positive change but nothing noteworthy has unfolded under his rule. After his mutual departure from the club a couple of days back, another piece of news that might hurt Spurs fans has broken out. It seems as though Manchester United has given Erik ten Hag the green light to go pursue Harry Kane in the summer. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN
Manchester United Transfers: HARRY KANE to OLD TRAFFORD? Red Devils line-up MASSIVE £80m Harry Kane bid as outgoing club chiefs give ERIK TEN HAG green light, CHECK OUTEven though it is common knowledge that Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator, United chiefs want to sit across and try to poach Harry Kane. It has been rumored that United has given Erik ten Hag the green light to bid £80 million for Harry Kane. They also want to wrap up the deal to sign the England captain before the end of the season.
The Tottenham striker has been a long-term target for United. The 29-year-old was also tempted by the offer of the blue side of Manchester two summers back, but Spurs were adamant and didn’t let Kane leave. United are also in desperate need of a striker since Ronaldo left. Martial and Weghorst haven’t really performed at the level that they would have expected.
Clubs rumored to be interested in Harry Kane
- Manchester United
- FC Bayern Munich
- FC Barcelona
Kane has been in good form this season for Spurs. In 39 appearances, he has found the back of the net 23 times and also has 4 assists to his name. He also recently became England’s all-time top scorer, after going past the 53-goal mark that Wayne Rooney had set. Kane now sits on 55 goals for the Three Lions.

It was revealed earlier in March that the Old Trafford club is confident they will land Kane this summer if Tottenham misses out on the top four and the Champions League. United hopes Spurs will take a lower offer than the £100 million they have been holding out for in exchange for their new record goal scorer.

Ten Hag is believed to have pleaded with his seniors for financial support because he is eager to begin negotiations with the striker to turn his team into legitimate championship contenders. It has been told that Kane is wanted by several clubs across Europe – Bayern Munich and Barcelona included. But Harry is keen on Old Trafford.
“This manager deserves to get the player he wants!” 💪@markgoldbridge says while he isn’t too in favour of the move, if Erik ten Hag, like reports state, wants to sign Harry Kane, he should be backed accordingly.

As his lengthy trophy drought continues, his current £200,000 per week contract at Tottenham ends in 2024, and he must choose his future. Although Daniel Levy understandably wants Harry Kane to remain, he is aware that in order to convince Kane that the North Londoners can compete for trophies after Antonio Conte steps down, Levy must make a shrewd managerial choice. Safe to say, yet another busy summer for Kane and Spurs.
