Chelsea Ticket Price: Premier League club, Chelsea have now decided to freeze their ticket prices for the next season. The decision came after fans made their disagreements known to the board via the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust. Considering the poor performance by Chelsea this season, the Trust warned the owner Todd Boehly and the board of the possible “irreversible toxicity” between followers and the board if prices for 2023-24 were to increase. As a result, the club has now announced that the ticket price for the next season won’t be increased. The official announcement on the club’s website read, “This season has not produced the results that any of us want. We know what we are working towards, but equally we know that will require hard work, determination and commitment. We all want to see Chelsea back where we belong and to share many more winning moments together at Stamford Bridge.”
This is the 12th successive year time that Chelsea have seen their ticket prices frozen. The freeze in ticket prices is a step in the right direction and their commitment to making their fans proud as per Chelsea Supporters Trust.
Chelsea started the 2022-23 season under new owner, Todd Boehly after the takeover from Roman Abrahmovic. The American owners spend a huge amount of money to sign multiple new players. However, things didn’t work as per the expectations and everything fell short. Manager Thomas Tuchel was sacked after a decent start to the season. Then, Graham Potter failed to put the club on the right track and was also sacked later in the season.
Currently, Chelsea has Frank Lampard as their interim manager and hopefully, they will be under former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino next season.
After spending around £600 million ($754m) in a single season, the expectations from the Blues were high. However, it all came down and they will not be even playing in any European competition next year.
