The 26-year-old revealed that he is happy in Naples. About the Italian manager, he said, “With Conte I had no choice. I would have liked to prove my worth on the pitch but I was on the edge of the group. I was told from the first day of training camp with the team [I was not in plans].”
However, the midfielder is still open to a move back to London as he said, “I don’t know what my future will be, many fans are asking me to return to Tottenham but the clubs will decide and Napoli have an option to buy.” He added, “I don’t mind being on loan here, but sometimes I see players being treated more like goods than people.”
Ndombele was signed for a club record of £65 million in 2019 by Argentinian manager Mauricio Pochettino. Since his arrival in 2029, Ndombele has worked under three managers at Spurs; Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. Moreover, last summer he spent his time at Lyon on loan and currently he is playing for Napoli.
