PSG lost for the fourth time in their league competition as Rennes overperformed them last night at Parc des Princes. The 2-0 loss came not long after their loss against Bayern Munich in the Champions League which saw them getting knocked out of the competition.
Messi had two shots on target, made two magnificent passes to Mbappe which the Frenchman missed, and made five important passes in the match. Compared to other players, he had a significant performance and had a higher rating than most players combining both sides.
However, fans seemed to be dissatisfied with the Argentine as they seemed to be booing the player as his name was announced in the lineup before the match. Their dissatisfaction comes from the Argentine not being able to deliver a miracle during the Champions League match.
Leo Messi’s contract ends at the end of this season in June, 2023 and he hasn’t renewed his contract with the club yet. There have been several rumors of him leaving the club to move to either Qatar or an MLS club or he could move back to Barcelona. However, no confirmed news have come regarding the matter and no one knows of his future plans.

There have even been rumors of Leo Messi having a feud with the PSG coach, Christophe Galtire during a training session. It was said that he left the training earlier than usual as he didn’t like Galtier’s coaching. However, several sources close to the Argentine say that this was all rumors and not true. Apparently, he had some discomfort in his adductor.
In this season, the Argentine winner has scored 18 goals and assisted 17 times in the span of 31 matches throughout all competitions. He was having a better season than his last tenure at the club as he was struggling to adapt to life in Paris. However, this could be his last season at PSG and he could just be moving to another club quite soon.
