PSG New Manager: Ligue 1 Live: There is one thing common between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. It is their love for changing managers on a whim. They also have Tuchel in common as he was booted out of both clubs. For PSG, the focus is always on the Champions League. If the manager fails to take PSG to glory in Europe’s premier competition, then it is likely he will get the boot. Follow Ligue 1 LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

The same is expected of Christopher Galtier, as reports indicate that PSG is already looking at a replacement. The chiefs at PSG are trying to lure Julian Nagelsmann to take over the helm for the Parisians, as Chelsea and Tottenham eye getting him as well.

The proposed transfer from the Ligue 1 powerhouses would be a major setback for Chelsea and Tottenham.

After Graham Potter, 47, and Antonio Conte, 53, were fired from their Premier League positions, the German has been connected to both teams. It is reported that PSG won’t keep Christophe Galtier as their boss for the upcoming campaign.

Even hiring a manager on an interim basis to complete the season is reportedly something the club is considering.
Galtier was recruited prior to the current campaign, and despite PSG leading Ligue 1, they have been eliminated from the French Cup and the Champions League.

Nagelsmann to PSG?

According to numerous reports, “first contact” has already been made between Nagelsmann, 35, and the club. Bayern Munich fired Nagelsmann, and Thomas Tuchel, a former manager of the Blues, took his position.

He has already been mentioned as a candidate for Chelsea and Tottenham’s open jobs. Mauricio Pochettino and former Spain manager Luis Enrique have also been mentioned in connection with Chelsea.

Julian Naglesmann would be taking over a club that is in turmoil at the moment. PSG has no clarity over the renewal of Lionel Messi and reports suggest that Leo is not too keen to sign an extension at the moment. There are FFP issues looming over the club too as their wage has skyrocketed, trying to adjust the salaries of very highly-paid stars in the club.

There is also the issue of egos in the locker room of the Parisians. Highly paid stars have a lot of baggage that falls on the head of the manager and it gets harder to have a motivated team with different egos clashing. Also, the fact that apart from the Champions League, it doesn’t seem like PSG’s players are motivated for French League or Cups. It will be a task for any manager to take the mantle at the Parisian club.
