El Clasico LIVE: Barcelona vs Real Madrid LIVE – Barcelona will be taking on Real Madrid at Camp Nou on Sunday, which will eventually decide if the La Liga title race is over or there is something more to look for. Xavi said that whatever will be the result of the game on Sunday, nothing will be decided. He said, “If we win, it would be a knock [for Madrid] in the table. It wouldn’t be definitive, but it would be a strong blow. Whatever happens, I think nothing will be decided [on Sunday]. We train naturally, knowing we have a great opportunity. If we win, we will take a very important step to win the league.”

“We are very motivated. For some players, it would be the first league title. We prepared for the match, no matter how important it is,” Xavi added.

It’s only been 3 months since we entered 2023 and this will be the 3 El Clasico game of the year. Barcelona won the two games and they will be eyeing to continue their unbeaten run against arch-rivals. As a manager, Xavi has won 4 games out of 5 against Real Madrid, including the Super Cup final and a 4-0 victory at Camp Nou last year. Talking about the last El Clasico, in which Real Madrid dominated possession-wise, but eventually, Barcelona won the game, Xavi said, “Personally, I would like us to have a little more possession of the ball than in the Copa.”

He added, “People keep talking about the first leg of the Copa semi-final, but that’s the only game in which we’ve not had possession. It’s clear: a match in which we are dominated will not change our mentality. From the first day that I am here, we have worked in a very concrete way.”

This will be Xavi’s first El Clasico as manager at Camp Nou and the Barca manager will be backed by around 90,000 fans in the stadium. If he manages to bag another win over Carlo Ancelotti Real Madrid, it will give them a 12-point lead in the league with 12 games left to defend it.
