Bengaluru FC advanced to the Indian Super League final after defeating Mumbai City FC on penalties (ISL). Sunil Chhetri put Bengaluru ahead early in the first leg. Bengaluru FC won the tiebreaker after the match was tied 2-2 after extra time, thanks to penalties saved by Gurpreet Singh Sandhu at the start and end of the shootout. Sandhu saved Mehtab Singh’s penalty, and Sandesh Jhingan scored the game-winning penalty, resulting in a 9-8 penalty victory for the home team.

The Blues lost to ATK Mohun Bagan at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium for the fifth time this season after a dismal start to the league stage. Vishal Kaith denied Javier Siverio the opportunity to score first, and the defending champions were doomed when Bartholomew Ogbeche hit the post.
