For the past few days, Vishal Kaith has been the talk of the town. The 26-year-old goalkeeper has been instrumental in propelling ATK Mohun Bagan to the ISL 2022-23 semi-finals. In the process, he won the Golden Glove award for having a total of 12 clean sheets, including two in the playoffs. He saved two penalties in Bagan’s 4-3 shootout win over Hyderabad FC in the second leg of their ISL semi-final in Kolkata on Monday, securing a title round matchup with Bengaluru FC on March 18.

Asish Rai had a dream season in 2022-23. He has been one of ATK Mohun Bagan’s best players this season, and arguably one of the league’s best right-backs. He has been effective both defensively and offensively for the team. Despite not being able to get his name on the scoresheet, the Sikkimese full-back appeared to have multiple chances to score in different games. As a result, he possesses all of the qualities required of a modern-day full-back.

From March 22 to 28, India will host Myanmar and the Kyrgyz Republic at Imphal’s Khuman Lampak Stadium. The called-up players will gather in Kolkata on Wednesday for a five-day camp. Igor Stimac has named a provisional 23-man squad for the Blue Tigers’ camp, which begins on March 15, 2023, in Kolkata. The tournament’s final squad will be announced after the ISL final, according to an All India Football Federation (AIFF) statement.

Nine of the 23 players called up will compete in the ISL final, forcing them to report to camp the day after the Bagan vs Bengaluru match. The remaining 14 players will report to camp on Wednesday, with Stimac also naming 11 backup players. The reserves list includes a list of all notable omissions.
