Kane earned his first England cap against Lithuania in March 2015 and eventually opened his goalscoring account for the Three Lions in the very same game. Since his senior debut for England, Kane has played under three managers namely Roy Hodson, Sam Allardyce, and Gareth Southgate, although it is the latter under whom, he has flourished and eventually rewarded with the captain’s armband. The Tottenham striker has scored 54 goals in just 92 appearances.

In comparison to Kane with England greats Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton, Kane is way ahead of both of them compared to his stage in his career. After 80 games, Rooney and Charlton had 34 and 43 goals respectively compared to Kane’s 54.

The 29-year-old has scored 48 goals in 63 appearances under manager Southgate, as no player has ever scored more for a single manager in England’s men’s history.

Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling at 18 goals comes second to Harry Kane in terms of goals in Southgate’s era. Meanwhile, 18 of Kane’s 54 goals for England have been scored from direct penalty kicks.

At 29 years of age, with an ample amount of football left for the England goalscorer, he is hunting for Cristiano Ronaldo in the International goal-scoring record with the most goals by a male player. The Former Real Madrid forward currently stands tall with 119 goals in 197 appearances for Portugal. However, the interesting part is Ronaldo at the age of 39 is still going strong and in no hurry to call quits, therefore, the chase of Kane for Ronaldo’s record will be long and tiring, for sure.
