Alves was accused by a woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted by him last month in a Barcelona nightclub. After hearing testimony from the lady and a witness, a Spanish judge remanded Alves in custody.

The Brazilian veteran was charged with sexual assault on December 30, 2022. According to reports, Alves went to the Mossos d’Esquadra de Les Corts police station to testify about the charges brought against him. Alves is now expected to arrive at Ciutat de la Justicia in Barcelona, according to the most recent reports. Dani Alves was sentenced to prison without bail by the judge.
