Germany Football Team Covid, FIFA World Cup Qualifiers LIVE: Germany national team cancel training session as player tests positive for COVID-19, check latest updates: The Germany national team have welcomed the international break with unfortunate news. Die Mannschaft have canceled their first training session after one of the players tested positive for coronavirus. The player in question was immediately sent to quarantine and the training was called off. The player has been double vaccinated and will hopefully recover in no time.

A total of five players are now in quarantine after the release of this positive report.

Niklas Sule gets Covid- Bild’s report claim that the player in question is Bayern Munich center-back Niklas Sule and the players in quarantine with him are his Bayern Munich teammates. All of them will now stay in quarantine for a few days until they recover and test negative for the virus.

As things are opening up coronavirus cases are rising in Germany. Recently due to the rapid rise of cases, the German second division match between SV Sandhausen and St Pauli was called off after a few players tested positive.

It is definitely a blow for the German national team and their head coach Hansi Flick. The Germans were supposed to play two matches in this international break. One is a home match against Liechtenstein on November 12 at the Volkswagen Arena, the home stadium of Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg. The second World Cup qualifier game is an away trip to Armenia two days later.

Wolfsburg forward Lukas Nmecha gets his first call up for the German national team. Whereas players like Ilkay Gundogan, Julian Draxler, Christian Gunter, Julian Brandt, and Kevin Trapp make their return to the national team.

Following the positive COVID-19 case and the five players in quarantine, the DFB has confirmed the selection of three more players in Maximilian Arnold, Ridle Baku, and Kevin Vollad to join Hansi Flick’s team for the next couple of World Cup qualifiers. Meanwhile, Nico Schlotterbeck and Florian Wirtz have suffered injuries and are unlikely to feature in the upcoming games.
