It’s unclear if the spectators are foreign labourers living in Qatar who have been out late partying or if the celebrations have been orchestrated by the government.

One video depicts a sea of apparent Brazilian fans waving flags along Doha Corniche, the city’s waterfront promenade, while other clips include Portugal, Argentina, Ghana, Cameroon, and Tunisia supporters. Another clip appears to show England supporters marching through the streets while singing and playing the drums while carrying a banner that reads, “It’s coming home.”
