Defending champions France will head to Qatar as the team to beat with one of the strongest teams at their disposal. Didier Deschamps & Co. won the title in 2018 and will look to continue their dominance and impose themselves as one of the strongest sides in the competition.
 
The Hugo Lloris-led outfit will have to deal with a major injury crisis as their title-winning midfield pair from 2018 of N’golo Kante and Paul Pogba are not fit for the tournament. There are major concerns over the fitness of Rafael Varane after the centre-back walked off in tears at Stamford Bridge after suffering an injury during Manchester United’s away game against Chelsea. Presnel Kimpembe has also been ruled out of the competition.
