Argentina vs France Highlights: Not all the money goes to players, but they are expected to get a good chunk of it. France players such as Kylian Mbappé are in line to be paid a bonus of 554,000 euros ($586,000) by their federation for winning the final.

Every national soccer federation gets at least $9 million in prize money for playing at this year’s World Cup, plus $1.5 million for each toward costs of preparing for the tournament.

Third-place team Croatia earned $27 million in prize money. Morocco, which ended up in fourth, will be paid $25 million.

Teams between the 17th and 32nd place get $9 million or Rs 74 crore.

In the 2018 World Cup, the prize money for the winner was $38 million or Rs 314 crore. Prior to the 2010 World Cup, the winnings were considerably lesser, but even so, the men’s World Cup prize money is significantly higher when compared to the pool set aside for the 2023 Women’s World Cup that will take place in Australia and New Zealand. FIFA has set aside $60 million or Rs 496 crore as the total prize money.

FIFA WC 2022 Earning: Meanwhile, FIFA’s total revenue from this cycle of World Cup stands at whooping $7.5 billion. 65 to 70% of these earning came from broadcast & media rights. The rest of the monies were earned via sponsorship deals, plus ticket and hospitality sales.
