Bengaluru FC head coach Simon Grayson parted ways with the club after their 0-4 loss to Mumbai City FC earlier this week. However, a parody account of Bengaluru FC took to social media platform X to make the announcement of the signing of Stephen Constantine, the Englishman who has served as the Indian coach for two stins. Bengaluru FC has, in fact, not announced any replacement for Simon Grayson so far. Take a look at the fake tweet below
Constantine, who has already served two terms as the coach for India’s national side, was last released by Pakistan in October after being roped into the side for less than a few months. He played an instrumental role in ensuring Pakistan’s progress to the second round of the World Cup qualifiers.
Bengaluru FC sack coach after humiliating loss
Issuing a statement on social media, Bengaluru FC announced that the club is parting ways with head coach Simon Grayson and that it was a mutual agreement. Grayson openly targeted his own players after their loss to Mumbai, their fourth defeat in nine games.
Bengaluru City FC’s CEO Parth Jindal expressed his disappointment after the side’s 4-0 defeat and said that ‘changes are coming’. Jindal’s tweet could have very well been an indicator of Simon Grayson’s removal – a sign that marks the string of changes the ISL club wants to make. Taking to X, Parth said that this wasn’t the BFC he was familiar with and that it was beyond him for the side to play this way.
