Everton vs Liverpool: Mohamed Salah sees the funny side of things as he bursts into laughter when asked about his seventh-place finish at the Ballon d’Or, Watch Video- After the controversial awarding of the Ballon d’Or to Barcelona great Leo Messi, the prestigious golden ball has once again come under scrutiny, this time in Merseyside when Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah was asked about his thoughts on finishing 7th in the rankings, the Egyptian gave a pretty amusing answer.
Mohamed Salah could not help but burst out laughing after being asked about his controversial Ballon d’Or placing.
When asked by the Amazon Prime Video reporter about finishing seventh in the Ballon d’Or, Salah burst out with a small laugh, and continued doing so while shaking his head, after which he said twice: ‘I have no comment’.
When the reporter told Salah he feels he will be higher next year if he continues scoring at his current frenetic rate, the Egypt international replied: “Ah hopefully, we’ll never know, thank you.”

Mohamed Salah scored twice to help Liverpool overcome city rivals Everton 4-1 on Wednesday night, could not escape the subject of his Ballon d’Or ranking afterwards. The 29-year-old – who has 19 goals in as many games this season – was in quite a jubilant mood after the Everton game. Considered to be one of the most inform players in world right now along with Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema, Salah finished below Cristiano Ronaldo, N’Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, Jorginho, Robert Lewandowski and record-extending seven-time winner Lionel Messi in the rankings.

Commenting of Liverpool blistering performance against Everton, Salah further said: “It’s a great result. To come here, play good football and win the game is something positive, “the scoreline is great. We also scored five against Manchester – hopefully we can continue like that.”

Salah, who is the first Liverpool player to score twice away at Everton in the league since Fernando Torres in 2008, added: “Hopefully there are many more goals to come.
“My first target is to win something at the club – the Premier League, the Champions League… hopefully both.”
Salah has now scored 13 Premier League goals this season, nine of which have come away from home – more than double the number of any other player.
He is also the first Liverpool player to register a goal or assist in seven consecutive away appearances in the competition.
The 34 goals Salah has scored in all competitions this calendar year is a tally bettered only by Benzema (35), Kylian Mbappe (37), Erling Haaland (38) and Lewandowski (53) among players from Europe’s top five leagues.
