EuroSport India to broadcast FIFA Club World Cup 2023 in Indian subcontinent

Organized by FIFA, the tournament brings together continental champions from around the world

EuroSport India on Thursday announced the acquisition of the exclusive rights to broadcast Club World Cup 2023 for viewers across the Indian subcontinent, encompassing India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The FIFA Club World Cup is the world’s most prestigious club tournament. Organized by FIFA, it brings together continental champions from around the world, including UEFA Champions League winners Manchester City and Brazilian winners FC Fluminese.

Football fans in India will be able to enjoy the best performances of stars such as Erling Haaland, Karim Benzema, and N’golo Kanté. The tournament starts on Friday, December 15 with the match of Leon vs Urawa Reds at 8.00 pm IST, and then Al Ahly vs Al-Ittihad at 11.30 pm IST.

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce our association with 1stadia to broadcast of the FIFA Club World Cup on Eurosport. This event holds a paramount place in the annual club football calendar, marking the crowning of the world champion. Renowned teams such as Manchester City, Al-Ittihad, and others, featuring star players like Erling Haaland and Karim Benzema, will grace the grand stage. It’s an unmissable event,” Ruchir Jain, Head of Eurosport India, said after the announcement.

Notably, Fancode has acquired the digital rights for the tournament in India.
