European Super League:  Premier League vs European Super League: The resurrected European Super League (ESL) ideas, which exclude any English football Clubs, are believed to be perplexing Premier League clubs, who have dubbed the proposals “reverse Brexit.” The contentious competition resurfaced this week after its organizers, A22, revealed its revised structure in an effort to rival the UEFA Champions League, with 80 teams expected to participate and clubs promised 14 encounters annually. The three rebel teams, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus, still selling the failed concept, anticipated opposition from the Premier League.  Follow European Super League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

Super League organisers believe the competition will now be ‘open’ with no permanent members, promotion and relegation among divisions, and a merit system to acquire membership. The Super League was introduced in 2021 to a great deal of criticism and was shouted down in about 48 hours. The Sun claims that no English clubs will be a part of the new plans, confusing top division teams and earning the ideas the moniker “reverse Brexit.”

According to the report, A22 cited the success of English football as justification for the new competition, claiming that the Premier League’s wealth had produced an elite and pointing out how relegated Norwich had made more in TV revenue last year than Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and PSG combined. The proposals, however, have been faced with vehement criticism from the top clubs in football, including La Liga, which has been adamant that the plans should be abandoned right away despite the fact that Real Madrid and Barcelona are spearheading the effort.

The 2022–23 Premier League division owners’ charter, created to stop any potential breakaway threat and endorsed by all 20 teams, is as follows: “We are collectively committed to the Premier League and recognise our responsibility to support it. We will not engage in the creation of new competition formats outside of the Premier League’s rules.”

The three rebel teams, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus, still selling the failed concept, anticipated opposition from the Premier League. Therefore, whereas the ESL’s initial bid of secession depended on support among England’s elite, the strategy now is to garner support across Europe by criticizing the wealth of the top-flight.
