Euro 2024 Qualifying: UEFA Euro qualifiers have started. This is one of the biggest UEFA competitions. Last time, Italy won the cup when they beat England in the final. The last season was delayed due to covid and was played in 2021. The next EURO Cup will be played in Germany next year. Let’s talk about Euro qualifiers with the qualifying process and important dates:
A total of 23 teams will be joining along with the hosts Germany for UEFA EURO 2024 finals. The first 20 teams will be decided by the group stage as the top two of each group will advance to the main competition. The remaining three spots will go to the winners of the play-offs, linked to the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League.

UEFA Euro 2024 draw:
In October last year, UEFA announced the draw which took place in Frankfurt. Germany has been qualified as the host and Russia remains suspended. The remaining 53 teams are competing in the Euro qualifiers. They are divided into ten different groups from where we will find 20 teams for Euro 2024. Seven groups have five teams and three groups have six teams. The top two from each group will qualify for the final competition.
Here’s the draw for all 53 teams divided into ten groups:
Group A: Spain, Scotland, Norway, Georgia, Cyprus
Group B: Netherlands, France, Republic of Ireland, Greece, Gibraltar
Group C: Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Malta
Group D: Croatia, Wales, Armenia, Türkiye, Latvia
Group E: Poland, Czechia, Albania, Faroe Islands, Moldova
Group F: Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Estonia
Group G: Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Lithuania
Group H: Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, San Marino
Group I: Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo, Belarus, Andorra
Group J: Portugal, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Liechtenstein
Euro 2024 playoffs
There are three spots that will be determined by play-off via the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League. 12 teams will be picked as per their performance in the Nations League – the group winners of Leagues A, B, and C.
If these teams have already qualified, then they will be replaced by the next best-ranked team in their league. Twelve teams will take part in the play-offs on 21 and 26 March 2024. There will be six semi-finals on 21 March and three finals on 26 March, with the three winning teams in those games joining the 23 teams and the hosts in the main competition.
Currently, this is how the league winners stand from UEFA Nations League 2022/23:

Israel, Bosnia, and Herzegovina, Serbia, Scotland
League C group winners
Georgia, Greece, Türkiye, Kazakhstan
EURO 2024 main competition will kick off in Germany from June 14 and the Final will be played on July 14 next year. By 21 November 2023, we will get the first 20 teams who will be qualified through the group stage. The remaining three spots will be finalised by playoffs which are scheduled in March next year.
