It is a unique tournament for Spain’s youngster Lamine Yamal. Apart from tearing UEFA Euro 2024 apart, the 16-year-old forward is drowning himself with homework in Germany. While he continues to impress for Barcelona and his National Team, he has to continue his school work in Germany.
Studies is Important!
While he became the youngest ever player to feature in Euro, Yamal has to keep his attention in his studies as well. Set to turn 17 in the coming month, Yamal continues to be a 4th year secondary student. “I go to class and every day I get different homework. Sometimes they give me more to do at home, but I do it every day. If they see that we are in the quarter-finals or last 16, they don’t give me a lot of work, but on rest days, when he knows I’m not doing anything, he does tell me to do some bits and pieces,” Lamine Yamal said.
Not just scoring goal, Yamal loves playing video games as well. And in his studies, Yamal is focusing in solving mathematical equations along with learning proper English.
“I try to always be with the young guys, playing Playstation or ping-pong… If not, I watch a series or the European Championships in my room, which goes very well with the match schedules because at the end you’re watching a game, or playing Playstation or on the iPad,” he concluded.
