Erling Haaland Transfer to Real Madrid
Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimienta had previously revealed the reasons behind his client’s move to the Etihad stadium. Speaking to Diario AS Pimienta told “He came from a football family you know. His dad, he already played you know, so he grew up around that and you see the photos of him as an infant with the shirt of Manchester City. So I think it was a personal thing, and then I think he also wanted to experience the Premier League too.”
The news about the crack in Haaland-Guardiola’s relationship is good news for Real Madrid who also looked to get him during the summer. With Karim Benzema not getting any younger, Halland will be the perfect successor to the French forward. However, the Spanish giants might choose to ‘wait patiently’ until Haaland’s €200m release clause becomes active in 2024.

How has Erling Haaland performed so far?
Erling Haaland is one of the hottest prospects in world football with many European clubs vying for his signature. City edged out other leading European clubs to sign the Norwegian goal machine for a fee of £51.2 million. So far Haaland has scored 31 goals in 28 games for City, including 25 goals in his first 20 Premier League games. Manchester City is currently in the title race and missed out on the opportunity to take the top spot twice.
If reports do end up being true, then Haaland would want to make an exit by helping City win the Premier League title. With just 17 matches to go, it appears as though Guardiola’s team has a mountain to climb, though it would be foolish to count them out. City has the added bonus of still having to play Arsenal twice and could make up six of those eight points if they emerge victorious on both occasions.
