After much speculation in the last few days, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is all to keep his job at the end of United’s post-season review. It is understood that talks are being held about Ten Hag extending his contract, which is about to enter its final season.
FA Cup win aids Ten Hag
Following the FA Cup final, United started their review right away. Amidst rumors that he would be fired regardless of the result, Ten Hag entered the Wembley matchup against Manchester City.
However, a 2-1 win over their derby rivals allowed the club hierarchy to approach the review in a more positive light. Ten Hag is reportedly pleased with Tuesday’s outcome, although there have been hints that he was growing impatient with the time it took for United to make their decision.

No Tuchel or Pochettino
Thomas Tuchel is rumored to have spoken with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new co-owner of United, last week, but he eliminated himself from consideration. Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino, who was available following his departure from Chelsea, lost interest in the club.
Other names associated with the position were Graham Potter, Thomas Frank, Roberto de Zerbi, and current England manager Gareth Southgate. However, Brentford was never notified regarding Frank, and Southgate’s commitments to England made it impossible to appoint him this summer.
