Hence, the club has been trying to pursued the player to sign a new contract with the club, but it has not happened yet. However, coach Erik Ten Hag is positive about the process and he has reported that Rashford wants to stay at Man United. Hence, the coach has asked the fans to trust the process. Marcus Rashford’s contract with Manchester United expires at the end of this season. Rashford has been a key player for a ormidable Man United side this season. This has been one of the best season’s for Rashford as well. He has become Man United’s top goalscorer with 29 goals which is also his career-best. Hence, the fans have been quite impatient about why he has still not signed a new contract. To that answer, coach Erik Ten Hag has put fans at ease.

Coach Ten Hag has said, “I know but I don’t talk about the process. Let the process go. Once again, this is not important at the moment for me or Rashy. For him, it is to get more goals this season and he is playing a wonderful season – and the team is playing a wonderful season. We have to get into the Champions League and focus on that. Marcus wants to stay and we want him to stay, so I think we will find each other.”

Manchester United are currently sitting in the 4th position in the league table with 2 macthes left. 5th-placed Liverpool are trailing by 3 points having played one extra game. Hence, there are high chances that Manchester United will be qualified for the Champions League next year. They have improved exponentially under coach Erik Ten Hag. However, to compete in the Champions League, they will their best players with them. Hence, they want to sign Rashford as soon as possible.

However, rumours say, the player is waiting for the arrival of new owers who could offer him a new contract.

Both coach Erik Ten Hag and Marcus Rashford have expressed time and again that currently, they are focused on ending the season in the best possible way. Manchester United still have two Premier League matches against Chelsea and Fulham. To secure their place with no worries, Man United will have to look for two sure wins. Then they have the FA Cup final match against the destructive Manchester City early in June. They will be looking to lift another trophy after winning the Carabao Cup in February.
