Erik Ten Hag will attempt to stop Harry Kane tomorrow, and he has no remorse over losing out on the England talisman. At the beginning of the summer, the manager of Manchester United named Kane his top transfer target. However, the 30-year-old striker ultimately decided to leave Tottenham for Champions League rival Bayern Munich in a £104 million deal. In the end, Manchester United ended up signing Rasmus Hojlund. Erik Ten Hag claims that he is very happy with the Dane striker.

Rasmus Hojlund will do for Erik Ten Hag
When asked if he had any regrets at not landing Kane, Ten Hag said, ‘No. We are happy with Rasmus. For the first game, he was injured. He played against Arsenal, he’s had a start, now we have to integrate him in the team. You can see he’s a big talent.’
Rasmus Hojland, a 20-year-old rookie, was acquired by United for an initial £64 million. But in their first five Premier League games, they have suffered three losses. Kane has scored four goals in four Bundesliga games this season, compared to United’s six goals in five Premier League games.
Ten Hag believes Hojlund and Rashford have to work together
Ten Hag is convinced that Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford will make a fantastic connection. The Danish player has recovered from a back ailment. Rashford was in fantastic form last season as he netted 30 goals for the Red Devils.
Erik Ten Hag said, ‘We have to work on how Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford can benefit from each other. But they have to know each other and that process has just started but at the same time, we need results. It has to go hand in hand. We learn from every training session and every game and we reflect.’
The manager continued, ‘We have seen Rasmus Hojlund and Rashy together, they are talking about how they can benefit from each other. You can see that discussion and the interaction is going on, on the pitch, you can see that connection is there and they will get the routines there.’
Rasmus Hojlund and Rashford worked together to score vs Brighton. It would have been an equaliser on Saturday. However, when Rashford crossed the ball, play had already ended, and United went on to lose 3-1. After finishing third the previous season, it has increased the burden on them as they resume Champions League play tomorrow.

Twelve players were unavailable for United’s trip to Munich, nine of them were injured. Harry Maguire, Mason Mount, and Raphael Varane all exercised today but stayed home from Germany.
At the Allianz Arena, United will play a Bayern club that has gone undefeated in their past 27 home group games, a mark that dates back 10 years.
