Ten Hag barrs Sancho from all first-team facilities, forward removes social account

Jadon Sancho banned from all first team facilities as Erik Ten Hag continues banishing the winger until solution is found at Manchester United

According to reports, Jadon Sancho has been BANNED from all first-team facilities at Manchester United. After publicly criticising Erik ten Hag, the 23-year-old English winger was kicked out of the senior team. Ten Hag said that Jadon Sancho had not trained sufficiently enough to be included in the United team for the match against Arsenal on September 3. Sancho responded on social media, branding his manager a liar and labelling himself as the “scapegoat.” And now, the manager has seemingly banned the winger from all first-team facilities at Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho’s exile from Manchester United continues

Sancho hasn’t played for the squad since he made his statement. Ten Hag’s uncompromising attitude resulted in his exclusion from first-team practices. However, not all of Jadon Sancho’s teammates agreed with the Dutchman’s decision.

According to a new story in The Mirror, he is not permitted to use any of the Carrington facilities used by the senior men’s squad, including the cafeteria. Sancho has no set comeback date to rejoin the first team, which means he is dining and training with the Red Devils youth youngsters.

Ten Hag is reportedly ready to give in and welcome Jadon Sancho back with open arms. But only under one very specific circumstance. A source told the Mirror, ‘There is an easy way to resolve this situation, which is for Jadon to say sorry to the manager. Something has to give – and it won’t be the manager.’

If a solution cannot be reached, Ten Hag will be eager to sell Sancho in 2024. Given that Jadon Sancho reportedly earns £350,000 a week at Old Trafford, a move to Saudi Arabia would probably be in the cards.

However, according to sources in Italy, Jose Mourinho is interested in signing the unwanted winger for Roma. His old team Borussia Dortmund could be able to help him get back to Germany.

Jadon Sancho, a former Manchester City prospect, transferred to United in 2021 from Dortmund for £73 million. Even though he has 23 Three Lions caps, the striker has only managed 12 goals in 82 Red Devils games.

Ten Hag allowed the athlete to miss four months of the previous season as he attended to his physical and mental health. Ten Hag has recently played without options on the right wing due to Jadon Sancho’s exile and Antony’s current leave due to allegations of domestic violence.

Sancho could join FC Barcelona

If reports are to believed, then FC Barcelona could be interested in Jadon Sancho. Barca are ‘keeping a close watch on his status’ and reportedly mulling a loan transfer, it appears like Sancho may have a route out in January.

The financial struggles of Xavi’s team will make United cautious. It also almost prevented the loan acquisitions of Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix over the summer. If Jadon Sancho were to sign with Barca, United could be required to foot a substantial chunk of his salary.

Sancho deletes social account

Jadon Sancho on Tuesday deactivated his Instagram account.

He had posted a message refuting Erik Ten Hag’s claim of not working hard enough after a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal from this account.
