Wayne Rooney shattered Sir Bobby Charlton’s (49) record in 2015, which had stood for 45 years. After coming in as a second-half replacement against Switzerland, Kane scored the first goal in England’s 2-0 victory, but Rooney’s penalty put him atop the all-time scoring list. The England captain has now equaled Rooney’s record as he increased his personal England total to 53, with the Tottenham Hotspur star still having the possibility to smash the record.
