Just a night remains before we have the first Kolkata Derby of the new season. While the Durand Cup game got canceled, it is this season’s first Big Match in the Indian Super League. Both the arch-rivals are positioned in contrasting positions in the points table, but the tension for the mega affair remains palpable.
Ahead of the big match, there are however a couple of injury concerns in the team. East Bengal will miss the services of ace winger/forward Naorem Mahesh Singh who has been ruled out of the fixture with a groin injury. On the other hand, Mohun Bagan does not have any injury concerns.

East Bengal Predicted XI
The Red and Gold brigade will be without the services of their head coach Oscar Bruzon for this game. The new gaffer is slated to travel to Kolkata soon. As the Spaniard replaces Carles Cuadrat, it however will be EB’s assistant coach Bino George who like in the previous game will lead the charge for the home side.
East Bengal will now seek the perfect opportunity to shake off their poor form in the league. The Kolkata giants occupy the last spot in the Points Table after having encountered 4 losses from 4 games. PV Vishnu will come in as a like-for-like change for the injured Mahesh. Cleiton Silva will be likely leading the charge for the hosts.

Mohun Bagan Predicted XI
Mariners be prepared for quite a few surprises. Jose Molina isn’t a huge fan of making too many changes and that most likely would be the case for Mohun Bagan. A 3-0 win over Mohammedan in the Mini Derby has instilled a huge confidence in the side to go all guns blazing.
Molina prefers a 4-4-2 and that is how he plans on shaping his side. Dimitri Petratos is likely to start from the bench with Greg Stewart and Jamie Maclaren finding their place in the starting XI. The abundance of strikers and forwards can see ace strike Jason Cummings not finding a place in the match.
- Goalkeeper: Vishal Kaith
- Defenders: Subhasish Bose, Alberto Rodriguez, Tom Aldred, Asish Rai
- Midfielders: Greg Stewart, Anirudh Thapa, Lalengmawia Ralte, Liston Colaco
- Attackers: Jamie Maclaren, Manvir Singh
