David Beckham Endorsements: From £115m lifetime Adidas deal to be the face of Qatar World Cup, check out Beckham’s endorsements- The England football legend, 46, has been announced as the face of the Qatar World Cup in 2022. Nearing a decade since he retired from football, David Beckham continues to remain one of the most sought out names in the football industry for brands. The Manchester United legend has become one of the most recognizable players around the globe.

He will reportedly be paid a staggering £150million over the next decade to become the country’s ambassador.

David Beckham Endorsements: ADIDAS

In 2003, Beckham signed a lifetime deal with Adidas.

It was later revealed that he was paid a whopping £115million by the German sports giants. At the time it was one of the biggest sponsorship deals in sport.

Since then, that figure was surpassed when Adidas paid Beyonce for her Ivy Park range.

David Beckham Endorsements: EMPORIO ARMANI

Famously, at the height of Posh and Becks fame, David modeled for the Italian designer, Armani.

It was reported he was paid £20million.

This was Beckham’s first formal clothing contract and part of an overall strategy by his management company 19 Entertainment to maximize his earnings during the final few years of his playing career.

David Beckham Endorsements: KONAMI

Having played in over 100 UEFA Champions League and English League matches, Beckham is truly a legendary player who has experienced success on an international scale,” stated KONAMI on their website.

The exclusive deal with KONAMI saw Beckham appear as a Legend player in the myClub mode of PES 2018.

The value of the deal has never been disclosed.

David Beckham Endorsements: PEPSI

Pepsi has always had some of the biggest sports stars in its advertisements. They are the sponsors of the UEFA Champions League.

Beckham’s relationship with the American soft drink company was established in 1998, in an ad where he appeared to be walking down the tunnel after being subbed off, seeing a kid with a can of Pepsi in his hand and asking for a sip.

After 10 years, they cut ties, but it was supposed to be worth £2million-per-year. Check out the ad below:

As per a report by The Sun, David Beckham has signed a whopping £150million deal to become Qatar’s ambassador ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The Manchester United legend will bag £15million a year over the next decade and will also promote tourism and culture. Beckham’s deal comes at a time when Qatar faces immense backlash over its human rights record, particularly its attitude towards women and the LGBTQ community.

David Beckham has previously had links with Qatar, having signed for Paris Saint-German, which is owned by Qatar Investment Authority, with Nasser Al-Khelaifi being the president. The source added, “By signing David, the hope is more westerners will be encouraged to see its beautiful beaches, vast expanses of sand dunes, and incredible skyscrapers.
