A report in the Guardian suggest that there was no official clarification if the Manchester United player had the permission to leave the stadium before the game concludes.
With the kind of disciplinarian the new manager, Erik Ten Hag is, it would be a surprise if the player had been given a special permission. In fact, even before the season started, there has been lot of rumours about the possibility of Ronaldo moving out of Manchester United for fight for titles.

The player also did not feature in the first five games of the pre-season, citing family issue. During the time, the player and his agent were also exploring the opportunity to make a move away from Old Trafford. With a move not coming to fruition, the player joined the team’s training a couple of days ago.
How did he fare in his first pre-season game? There was a loud reception for Ronaldo when he walked onto the pitch before the game vs Rayo Vallecano. It just showed how the fans want to see the best out of him.
The player had got a good opportunity to score, but he missed the chance in the first half. The player, who is gradually coming back to top fitness, was subbed off at half time. Amad Diallo came into the game and also happened to score the only goal for Red Devils.
