According to Al-Riyadiya, Al-Nassr’s medical team told club manager Luis Castro about Ronaldo’s injury. It is believed to be a calf strain. Ronaldo, who has five Ballon d’Or awards, is expected to be out for two weeks.
Over the past couple of days, Ronaldo has been to the club’s medical clinic. He has also had treatment sessions, as well as some light training in the fitness centre.
The highest goal scorer of 2023 is expected to miss Al-Nassr’s upcoming friendlies against Shanghai Shenhua (January 24) and Zhejiang (January 28). However, if he doesn’t recover in time, Ronaldo could also miss the eagerly awaited friendly against Messi’s Inter Miami on February 1 at the Kingdom Arena.
However, it is unlikely that Luis Castro would allow him to play in a friendly match. His presence will be more important in their remaining domestic season. They are also aiming to do well in the AFC Champions league. In the meantime, all we can do is hope for a miracle and Cristiano Ronaldo to make it back in time.
