According to Marca, the news outlet that broke out about Ronaldo moving to Saudi before it happened, there is a sensational clause in Ronaldo’s contract. The clause states that if Newcastle United qualifies for the Champions League, Ronaldo could move to The Magpies on loan. Cristiano wanted to join a club that was in the Champions League but most of the clubs that he wanted to join, didn’t really want him. His staggering wage was an issue too.
