Portugal and Real Madrid football star Cristiano Ronaldo is set to launch a chain of restaurants in Brazil. ‘Dona Dolores’ – the chain named after his mother – will serve Portuguese cuisine.
The 33-year-old, five-time Ballon d’Or winner has entered into a partnership with the Gramado Parks resorts network and chocolate brand Lugano for his new commercial venture.
The first of the restaurants will be built in the town of Gramado in Rio Grande do Sul, scheduled to be inaugurated during the 2018 Fifa World Cup in June.
The restaurants will feature recipes formulated by Ronaldo’s mother and be led by Kátia Aveiro, Ronaldo’s sister, who also runs a restaurant in their hometown on Madeira.
In 2015, Ronaldo had invested $73 million to launch a chain of ‘CR7 Hotel’, the Ronaldo-themed hotels in partnership with Portugal-based Pestana Hotels. The hotels are now established in Funchal, Lisbon, Madrid and New York.
The legendary footballer also owns various business ventures and brands under his trademark ‘CR7’ such as – CR7 Crunch Fitness, CR7 Blankets, CR7 Footwear, Ronaldo Kick n’ Run Football Video Game, CR7 Legacy Perfume, Cristiano Ronaldo & Sacoor Brothers (fashion and apparel line), CR7 Museum, CR7 Underwears and Innerwears.
Ronaldo also endorses top-notch global brands such as Nike, Bugatti, Tag Heuer, MEO, PokerStars, Nubia Smartphone, Turismo Madeira, Clear Men, Six Pad Training Gear, and XTrade.
Ronaldo, currently the highest goal scorer in UEFA Champions League, will lead his squad against Liverpool on May 27 in Kiev, Ukraine, in a quest for their 13th League title.
