After a move to Chelsea from Manchester City, Palmer has stood out in spite of Chelsea’s harrowing season. Palmer has scored 22 goals in the Premier League since signing for Chelsea and has earned himself a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s preliminary UEFA Euro 2024 squad.

Palmer, who recently turned 22, spoke about England’s Euro aspirations and what his fans can expect from him. England have a flurry of talent to pick from for their Euro 2024 squad. Palmer sounded confident about the team doing well in the tournament.
“There’s a lot of talent in the squad, everyone can see that. I’m thrilled I can go there to represent England, we’ve got amazing players. Hopefully the team can gel together and try to win a tournament. The fans are amazing and I just want to do everyone proud,” Palmer told the Daily Mirror.

“I knew a few of the seniors from City and Chelsea and it was good to be there but it was very different to the under 21s. I’ve only been twice so I’m not used to it but hopefully getting picked will help me get used to it. It’s different because it’s more intense, there’s pros who have been involved for many years. It’s great,” Palmer added.
England favourites to win Euro 2024?
England have one of the strongest squad for the Euro 2024 with talents galore. It remains to be seen the playing XI Southgate picks, but there is fierce competition in almost all positions. Palmer will find it hard to break into the first team, but expect him to shine through once he is there.
