Former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is also out of the race for the managerial role at Chelsea. Meanwhile, Argentinian boss Mauricio Pochettino remains the favorite candidate at Stamford Bridge. It seems like Chelsea owners are looking for managers who have already proved their worth in the Premier League.
Pochettino managed Tottenham Hotspur from 2014 to 2019. In his reign, Spurs finished as runner-up in the Champions League and in the Premier League. Moreover, in his last spell at PSG, he won three trophies including a Ligue 1 title.
Pochettino is without a club since July 2022 and Chelsea might become his next destination. Chelsea will be under Frank Lampard until the end of the season and then the new manager will take over.
