Chelsea: The season for the Blues just keeps unraveling. There doesn’t seem to be any respite at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea continues its downward spiral, in every competition. After sacking Graham Potter and getting Lampard until the end of the season, Chelsea is yet to win a single game in their 4 matches under Frank so far. They lost 2-0 at home to Real Madrid and have been knocked out of that competition too. After Todd Boehly visited the dressing room after their last game, it seems as though he did the same after their clash against Real Madrid. Follow Chelsea Football Club LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN

Chelsea: Dissatisfied TODD BOEHLY visits Blues dressing room for SECOND TIME as Premier League side get knocked out of Champions League, WATCH

Following Chelsea’s elimination from the Champions League, Todd Boehly stormed into the dressing room for the second time in two games. The second leg of the West Londoners’ Champions League quarterfinal match against Real Madrid ended in a 2-0 defeat for them on Tuesday night.

The American billionaire stepped into the locker room after the game to speak with the team, just as he had done following their humiliating loss to Brighton the previous weekend. A few minutes after dependable assistant Behdad Eghbali entered, Boehly walked over to the Stamford Bridge pitch. In contrast to the previous weekend, he didn’t spend much time in the changing room; he left with Eghbali about ten minutes later.

That was in sharp contrast to his HOUR-LONG diatribe following Brighton’s 2-1 loss last Saturday. Real advanced to yet another semifinal of the European Cup thanks to a brace from Rodrygo. Frank Lampard, the Blues’ interim manager, saw his selection risk backfire as Boehly’s £600 million frenzied season went awry.

With a 2-0 deficit from the first leg, Lampard left strikers Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, and Joao Felix, worth a combined £257.5 million, on the bench. The three entered the game after 67 minutes, but Rodrygo’s two goals for Real in the second half crushed their hopes.

Drogba’s words after the loss

Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba was left baffled by how his former team have been performing this season. The Ivorian said, ‘I knew this club with a certain class but today I find it lacking. They should go back to the principles and values they had. I don’t recognise my club anymore.’

Lampard, who is in his second spell at the club, is the very first manager in Chelsea’s history to lose his first four games. Looking at the way the team has been playing, it seems as though most Chelsea fans would just be hoping for the season to conclude as soon as possible.

The Chelsea legend will be aiming for his first win in 5 games, when they welcome Brentford to the Stamford Bridge on the 27th of April. The winner of Thursday’s match between Manchester City and Bayern Munich will play the defending champions, Real Madrid in the semi-finals later this month.
