The European football governing body, UEFA could take action against the breakout trio.
Notably, these three teams came up with a breakout league called the European Super League, which came as a body blow for UEFA as it would have made the UEFA Champions League irrelevant.

Besides these teams, a few other renowned teams in the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and others also joined the league. However, while the others retracted their membership soon after receiving backlash, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus remained adamant to organize it.
However, Madrid court has recently passed a verdict where they have authorized UEFA to sanction these three teams, and according to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, they could indeed take that route. “It is possible to punish any club. Some doubt it, they are wrong. The rules are the same for everyone. Of course it is possible (to ban these three teams from Champions League). But it is the UEFA Disciplinary Committee (who will decide), which is independent,” Ceferin told French media outlet L’Equipe.

“And if I commented on what people say every day. They also complain that UEFA earns billions, while 93.5 per cent of the income goes to the clubs. How do you explain this if no one is listening?” the Slovenian further added. It will now be interesting to see whether Ceferin is making statements on air or whether UEFA are actually serious about banning the three big teams from participating in the Champions League.
