Casemiro Ban: Casemiro Red Card – Man United vs Southampton – Manchester United has been facing some fresh challenges in Premier League after having a good run for a few months. Following the humiliating 7-0 loss against Liverpool, the club will now miss their key player Casemiro for the next few games as he received 2nd red card of the season in the game against Southampton. Notably, both the red cards were straight red, meaning this time, the Brazilian will miss United’s next four games. However, that can be changed if United appeals to FA for withdrawal of the suspension. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN
Casemiro Ban: Major BLOW to Manchester United, Brazil Star Hit With Red Devils Curse, Gets 2 Straight Red Cards in 3 PL Games – Check Out
The Red Devils were facing Southampton at Old Trafford on Matchweek 27. In the 34th minute of the game, the defensive midfielder made a challenge on Carlos Alcaraz near United’s penalty box area. Casemiro won the ball initially but he caught on the shins of Alcaraz in the follow-through.
Match referee Anthony Taylor earlier showed a yellow card but changed his decision after consulting the Video assistance referee. Casemiro was seen in tears leaving the pitch after the red card was shown.
On any other day, it might not be a red card as the challenge was not intentional and Casemiro won the ball in first place. These things only raise questions about the consistency of VAR decisions.

What’s Next For Casemiro?
Manchester United will be without the Brazilian midfielder for the next few games if they don’t appeal the suspension. This is Casmeiro’s 2nd straight red card of his career, and both came at Manchester United, that too within a span of 2 months. Earlier, he was suspended after a brawl in the game against Crystal Palace on February 4th.
Casemiro’s loss for the next 4 games might haunt United, as they are already missing Christian Eriksen due to injury. In this situation, they have few options with the likes of Fred, and Scott McTominay, who recently came back from an injury. Sabitzer missed the game against Southampton due to a Knock injury and Donny Van de Beek is also unavailable due to injury.
United will be up against Fulham in the FA Cup quarterfinals. Later in the premier league, they will be facing Newcastle United, Brentford, and Everton. Hopefully, for United, there will be an international break before those games. So, some of the injured players might join the squad.
