Manchester City began their Premier League championship defence with a 3-0 victory at Turf Moor. At the same time, Burnley endured a humiliating return to the Premier League.
After four minutes, Haaland put his team ahead. In the 36th minute, he smashed another first-time finish off the bar. In the second half, Rodri added a third before Anass Zaroury was shown a straight red card after a VAR review for a brutal tackle on Kyle Walker.
City didn’t have it easy, as Kevin De Bruyne suffered another injury in the first half. The ease with which they picked up the three points, however, is a worrying omen for the rest of the Premier League.
