According to reports in Brazil and Spain, Enrique is thought to be more intent on moving on to a club team, but the Brazilian FA is optimistic Ronaldo can change his mind. Brazil severed relations with Tite after their humiliating loss to Croatia in the 2022 World Cup quarterfinals in Qatar. Enrique was fired from his position as Spain’s manager after his team was eliminated from the World Cup after losing to Morocco.

Spain and Morocco played to a scoreless draw after dominating control during the match. As a result, penalties were used in the game. Even though Enrique gave his team “homework” of 1,000 penalties each before the World Cup, Spain missed all three of its attempts. Enrique was consequently fired.
Enrique, the former Spain manager, is reportedly interested in joining a club team like Atletico Madrid, despite Brazil’s eagerness to hire him as their next manager. If Diego Simeone steps down in 2023, Enrique is rumoured to have been shortlisted as a possible replacement. Simeone, who has been in charge for more than 11 years, is facing intense criticism in Madrid after managing just seven victories in the league this year and losing in the group stages of the Champions League.
