Benzema became the main star of the Whites after Cristiano Ronaldo left the club back in 2018. Since then, he has been thriving more and has reached the peak of his performance in recent times. In just last season, he gave his career’s best performance by scoring 44 goals in 46 matches throughout all competitions. His goal tally has also reached 341 goals in 632 matches which has made him the second-highest goal scorer for Real Madrid after Cristiano Ronaldo.
The star player also helped Real Madrid win La Liga and the UEFA Champions League last season. This fuelled his Ballon d’Or win back in October 2022. During the Supercopa de Espana, there were rumors of Karim Benzema exiting the club as the player said, “I am at Real Madrid. Talking about renewal is another matter. I enjoy it, like any other player who can play for Madrid. What happens in football, we don’t know.”
🚨 Karim Benzema’s contract has been extended until 2024, but there is no confirmation that he will stay next season. Ancelotti’s mysterious future and the amazing financial offers that reached to Karim from Saudi Arabia mean that Benzema’s future is not clear at all.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti was asked about the player’s future on an occasion and he said, “It will be discussed later. We have to take into account Benzema’s age, but also what he brings. He is our nine. He did well at the beginning of the season and he will do well next season.”
Even a month back, many reports said that the player was offered a deal to play in Qatar. Apparently, he was offered a total of €60 million for two seasons, but Benzema did not agree to any such deals. Real Madrid boss was asked again a few days back about Benzema’s future and he replied, “For me, Karim is a lifelong Real Madrid player, I’m clear about what will happen next year, but I’m not a magician.”
However, amid all these talks, sources from within the club and the dressing room has reported that Benzema wants to stay at the club. They said the player is “guaranteed” to stay at Real Madrid and also said that “he has one more year”. Some reports even say that the player and Carlo Ancelotti have come to a verbal agreement. Sources close to Benzema have said that the details of the deal will become clear after the official announcement is made.
