Financial misery continues, Barcelona owe $212m in transfer fees

Barcelona are due to pay out just $95m over the course of the next 12 months. However, they still have $127m to pay out to four clubs Leeds United, Man City, Bayern Munich and Sevilla beyond that point. They are supposed to pay Dutch club Ajax $17m for Frenkie de Jong. Even Barca wanted to sell de Jong earlier but he stayed.

Barcelona are dealing with financial things and we have seen it in past too. This is how they failed to keep Messi in 2021. Apart from this heavy amount, we can add up few more on other players with small money such as Neto Muraua, Jean-Clair Todibo, Emerson Royal, Junior Firpo, and Miralem Pjanic. Even for Pjanic, the Blaugrana have to send funds to four different clubs.

If we go through the entire mathematics, the Spanish giants owe $25m to Leeds for Raphinha, $14m to Man City for Ferran Torres and $11m to Bayern for Robert Lewandowski. $40m, $27m and $22m are due to be paid on a longer-term basis. Barcelona must also find $38m for Jules Kounde. Sporting and Atletico Madrid can also give them funds for Francisco Trincao and Antoine Griezmann.
