Barcelona’s young stars helped them secure a narrow and much-needed 3-2 victory at home to struggling Elche in a chaotic clash at the Camp Nou. Ferran Jutgla, Gavi and Nico Gonzalez were all on target for Barca, to secure just their third win in their last nine La Liga games. The trio are all still officially registered with the Barcelona B-team squad, have become prominent members of the Barca squad.

Xavi Hernandez’s side started strongly and went two goals up inside the opening 20 minutes with debutant Jutgla and teenage midfielder Gavi both finding the net, but due to lapses of concentration combined with individual mistakes Barcelona let Elche back into the game, two quickfire strikes in the 61st and 63rd minute saw Elche equalize. But Xavi’s men kept on pushing to find the winner and second-half substitute Nico put Barce infront once again after a Gavi cutback found him in space inside the box.
