Barcelona won the Joan Gamper Trophy final 4-2 after a fantastic last 10 minutes performance against Tottenham. Late goals from Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, and Ez Abde capped an otherwise disappointing Barcelona performance, leaving Spurs stunned.

After Robert Lewandowski’s early goal, Oliver Skipp’s brace put Ange Postecoglou’s side up 2-1, and they were fair value for that lead – until the late assault. Within three minutes, Raphinha stormed down the Barcelona right and expertly crossed for Lewandowski to slam home with a left-footed half-volley.

Postecolgou’s team quickly rallied as Skipp fired home after Giovani Lo Celso’s strike hit the crossbar. That move began with Ivan Perisic’s tenacious play down the Spurs’ left side. The Croatian also assisted Skipp’s second goal, as the English midfielder headed home an inch-perfect Perisic cross to make it 2-1.

Spurs appeared to be in command. But it was 16-year-old substitute Lamine Yamal, who came on in the final 10 minutes, who changed the game, first picking out the onrushing Torres to turn home from close range to make it 2-2, and then dazzling with a phenomenal turn before feeding Fati, who fired the winner beyond Vicario in the Spurs goal.

Femin Lopez then dismantled Spurs once more, allowing Abde to seal the 4-2 victory in the final preseason meeting between these two teams.
