The draw for the Indian Football Team’s Asian Games 2023 has been. The women’s team have been drawn in the Group B of the event along with Thailand and Chinese Taipei. The Men’s Team have been drawn against China, Bangladesh, and Myanmar.
The national team has been permitted to compete in the Games after receiving the green light from the Ministry of Sports. Previously, they were denied entry since they were not among Asia’s top eight teams.

The Indian men’s football squad has been placed in Group A alongside Myanmar, China, and Bangladesh. Only China (80) is ranked higher than India (99) in the FIFA rankings, with Bangladesh placing 189th and Myanmar ranking 160th.
