Mikel Arteta’s side is ready to form their best XI ahead of the new season. They had a decent pre-season and recently beat Barcelona 5-3 in the US. The Gunners got few answers in this pre-season tour. They have been excellent in the summer transfer window with the signing of players like Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.
Arsenal have the Community Shield encounter against Man City this week and Arteta can finally end their trophy drought. They last won a trophy in 2020. They were the challengers in the Premier League title last season and missed out the glory due to some late mistakes in the competition. The North London club have won two games out of the last four in pre-season.
On the other hand, AS Monaco had an excellent pre-season with two more games to go. They won three consecutive games before losing to Genoa 1-0 in the previous game. The French club lost two games in the last six club friendlies with one draw. They have to face Bayern next before leaving to France for the new season of Ligue 1.
