Apuia denies reports of being banished from Indian Football Team by Igor Stimac

Apuia denied being kicked off the Indian Football Team by Igor Stimac, claiming that the accusations were purely fabricated.

A new drama involving a player and the head coach, Igor Stimac, has emerged amid the continuing Asian Games 2023 scandals. The player in question is Mumbai City FC’s Lalengmawia Ralte, also known as Apuia. While it was stated that Apuia was suspended for issues off the pitch, the player has come forward to contradict the reports.

Apuia appears to have been left off the team for the last three international competitions. He last played for the Blue Tigers in the Intercontinental Cup match between India and Mongolia in early June.

Stimac did not confirm his position on the team, despite the fact that he was on the probable list for the King’s Cup. The Times of India said that Apuia and Stimac’s relationship had become tense and that the reason for his expulsion was an off-field problem. However Apuia has come out to refute all the claims.

Apuia, however, said, ” What they are writing is wrong. We are playing in the AFC Champions League and it is not right for me to leave.”

Insidesport

According to the report, the midfielder failed to complete a paperwork issued by the team psychologist before the deadline. As a result, he was dropped out of the 2023 Asian Games roster as well as the under-23 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Despite the fact that Apuia cleared things from his end, a feud was developed. One Indian fan raised an interesting topic of argument in the comments when he mentioned Stimac’s severe decision to leave Mumbai City FC winger Apuia out of the squad. When questioned why “never” choosing him was the best option, Stimac stated, “It’s up to him only, we’re a family, and everyone needs to commit to it.”

According to reports, Stimac was enraged by the incident and was disappointed with the player’s demeanour. He added that Apuia would not represent his country as long as the Croatian was in power. It remains to be known when Apuia would return to the Indian Football Team.
