Anwar Ali saga: Mohun Bagan to demand sanctions against East Bengal & Delhi FC if player seeks NOC

Anwar Ali saga: Mohun Bagan to take aggressive route, ready to seek massive sanctions against East Bengal & Delhi FC after PSC's 1st hearing

The Anwar Ali saga continues. The Player Status Committee (PSC) has heard both cases and will decide whether his termination of the loan deal was just or unjust. Furthermore, Mohun Bagan is set to claim massive sporting sanctions against both Delhi FC and East Bengal along with a compensation fee of rupees 20 crore.

August 2nd was the day when the PSC was to attend the first hearing of the case. According to the PSC, if the player doesn’t want to play for the club, then the Mariners would be forced to grant him the No Objection Certificate (NOC). However, if Anwar seeks NOC for unjust termination, the Green and Maroon brigade would be forced to seek ramifications for the same.

What happened at the PSC Meeting?

Anwar Ali along with his lawyer was present at the PSC Meeting today. As per sources, when the PSC enquired to Anwar whether he wanted to play for the Mariners, the player remained silent. But now the pertinent question remains, whether his contract termination was just or not?

The PSC will seek a decision soon. As things stand, the PSC will seek a decision but it won’t be based on an interim basis. No interim order will be done as the aggregated party will challenge the decision.

Mohun Bagan seeks huge compensation against East Bengal & Delhi FC

Sources close to the development informed InsideSport, that the Mariners will seek massive compensation and sanctions against two Indian clubs. This will only happen if Anwar demands a NOC for an unjust termination. Mohun Bagan will seek sanctions against both East Bengal and Delhi FC.

Along with the sanctions, the Mariners will also seek a monetary compensation of around rupees 20 crore. For the unheard, arch-rivals East Bengal made advancements for the player and signed a pre-contract. Since Anwar still has a contract with Mohun Bagan till 2027, it would be illegal for another club to make unsporting advancements.
