The Local Organizing Committee announced the quarter-finals lineup for the 132nd IndianOil Durand Cup. They conducted a virtual draw with representatives from the eight qualified teams in attendance. Additionally, they made a decision to move the first quarter-final from Kokrajhar to Guwahati. This choice was influenced by the playing conditions, which were affected by the adverse weather. With both the Kolkata Giants, Mohun Bagan Super Giant and East Bengal in the quarterfinals, another scintillating Kolkata Derby can be expected in the finals.
East Bengal secured qualification as the winners of Group A. Mumbai City, Gokulam Kerala, FC Goa, Chennaiyin, and the Indian Army earned their spots in the quarter-finals by winning their respective groups from B through to F.
NorthEast United and Mohun Bagan SG advanced to the quarters from Group D and Group A respectively as the top second-place teams.

After the conclusion of the Group F game between the Indian Army Football Team and Rajasthan United FC in Kokrajhar on Monday evening, the eight qualified teams were determined. Following this, a video call was arranged, gathering representatives from all qualified teams.
During the video call, a live draw of lots was conducted in front of the representatives. This draw finalized four teams to play in Kolkata and four teams to play in Guwahati.
The 132nd IndianOil Durand Cup commenced on August 03, 2023. The final match is scheduled for September 03, 2023, at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan. This year’s edition featured a total of 24 teams, which is an increase from the previous count of 20. Notably, the participants included two foreign teams from Nepal and Bangladesh, as well as all 12 teams from India’s premier football division, the Indian Super League (ISL).
