Manchester United star Andre Onana’s injury was forced off with an injury while playing for Cameroon in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Onana was taken off with less than 10 minutes left in Cameroon’s game against Mauritius. Cameroon went on to win the game 3-0, but Onana is in doubt for the next game. If this injury is serious, it could spell trouble for Manchester United.
Manchester United have been struggling with injuries since the start of the season. They have had multiple stars suffering long-term injuries. After picking up injuries, Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen have already withdrawn from international duty. Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans, Tyrell Malacia, and Casemiro are already out with injuries.
Andre Onana getting injured can turn out to be a big problem for Manchester United. While United has a backup goalkeeper in Altay Bayindir, he has yet to play a single game for the Red Devils in the Premier League. Bayindir is yet to prove his mettle in the League. Having a new keeper come in may spell more troubles for Manchester United.

Altay Bayindir will have to fill in if Onana’s injury turns out to be serious.
Andre Onana did not have the best of starts to his Manchester United career. A series of errors put him in the firing line of United fans. The Old Trafford faithful started to question his abilities. However, Onana had begun to win back the trust of United fans in recent games. A penalty save vs FC Copenhagen marked the start of Onana’s recovery as United’s keeper.
This injury, however, may put Onana back to square one. If it turns out to be a long-term injury, Onana will have to put in all the work again to remind United fans of his capabilities. United, who are already struggling with a pile of injuries this season, will be frustrated to see another one of their players get injured.
This may, however, help Manchester United. Andre Onana will be unavailable for selection when he goes for the African Cup of Nations. This competition takes place in the middle of the Premier League season. If Altay Bayindir has to feature for United now, they can gauge his abilities before Onana leaves for the African Cup of Nations. This can help them decide if they will need to sign a new keeper in January or if they can make do with Bayindir in Onana’s absence.
