The love for Saudi Pro League continues in European football as Man United defender Alex Telles has made a decision to join Al-Nassr on a permanent transfer.
The Brazilian has left the Red Devils and will play for Saudi club, Al Nassr. It means Telles will reunite with his former Man United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo signed for Al Nassr in the winter transfer window and since then, many players have been signed by Saudi clubs.

The club hasn’t disclosed the fee or length of his contract and will be announced soon. The 30-year-old defender appeared 50 times for the Premier League giants since arriving from FC Porto in 2020. He spent his last season on loan at Sevilla and won the Europa League title.
Saudi Pro League has been a hot favourite topic among European clubs. Ronaldo started the trend and later, other big players joined in. Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino are the top names.
Man United issued a statement on Telles which reads, “We’d like to thank Alex for his contributions to the club over the last three years and would like to wish him all the best for the future.”
Alex Telles had a big competition with English defender Luke Shaw at Old Trafford. He played in 2022 FIFA World Cup as well. The Brazilian was not Erik ten Hag’s first choice for the left-back spot. He struggled to get a regular place in Man United XI and switched to Sevilla on loan. He made 38 appearances for the Europa League winners last season.
